Welcome to Codecademy Jr’s Introduction to Scratch course! Scratch is a platform built and maintained by the MIT Media Lab that allows people to code using a visual programming language and share their projects with others in the Scratch community.

Scratch allows you to code whatever ideas you have. You can make really simple projects in Scratch, like making a dog bark, you can create fully-animated movies, or you can create cool new video games. The options are only limited by your imagination.

By the end of this course you’ll know the basics of creating a new project, coding, and sharing your project with the Scratch community. It’s a great first step into the world of coding!
