The NPR API
What You'll Be Building

The NPR Story API is the workhorse that powers all of NPR's web and mobile apps and delivers the story text, audio, and photos that appear there.

You can use this API to request individual stories, or you can pull feeds of stories according to topic, program, special series, or reporter name. Displaying the latest stories for a given topic or program is one of the most common tasks in just about every NPR app.

Here is a simple script to call the Story API and print out the three most recent story titles tagged to a given NPR ID. We'll learn more about ID's later.

Instructions

Check out the code in the editor. Click Save & Submit Code. When prompted for an ID, enter 1007, which is the NPR science topic.
