Padding is the amount of the space between the edge of an element and the stuff inside it.

Here is an example of what different padding looks like:

See how the space around the text increases on all four sides?

Let's make your input boxes a little easier to read.


Add a little bit of padding to your input elements with the following line:

padding: 12px;

Why doesn't the border need units? Because we are setting it to 0. Zero of anything is the same no matter how you count it.
