Are you a creative storyteller who wants to impact millions of people on the regular? Are you a strategic thinker who can find the contrarian point of view?  In this role you'll exercise your full range of strategic, analytical, and creative skills to help thousands of learners every day.

Responsibilities:

Craft integrated marketing campaigns. Write narratives that are contrarian, remarkable, and carefully position Codecademy in the market landscape.

Take campaign concepts from idea to launch: developing the associated evidence - whether that be alumni stories, user data, or even a new scholarship program.

Write. Copiously. You’ll be called upon to write content marketing pieces and eventually to manage external resources to scale our content marketing efforts.

Jointly manage social media along with Codecademy’s community manager.

Work closely with Codecademy’s PR agency, and potentially manage the agency relationship as you grow in the role.

Requirements:

3-5 years of consumer marketing experience in content marketing or communications.

A strategic thinker who can study and then articulate the contours of a market landscape and describe how each brand in that landscape is positioned.

A track record of thought-leadership, creativity, and provocative thinking.

At Codecademy, an interest in learning to code is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Copywriter extraordinaire.

A rolodex of media relationships.

Versed in qualitative and quantitative research methods (focus groups, in-depth interviews, conjoint analyses).

Experience launching marketing campaigns involving partner organizations that garnered media attention.
