Always complain: "Did you set your <td> border-width to 1px?", what's wrong with my code?

td { height:50px;
border:1px dashed blue;
}

I completed this in Chrome and added "solid" to the CSS styling for table {}

I have the same issue (telling me I didn't set my td border width to 1px when I have) in Chrome. Apart from an old unsupported version of IE I don't have anything else on this computer so I'm kinda stuck.

Did you mean "Did you set your height to 50px?"? because I'm getting the same error with

td {
height: 50px;
border: 2px solid red;
}

table {
border: 1px solid black;
}

I'm not sure why either.

I figured it out! You need to hit Ctrl0 so that the screen is set to the normal heights. Otherwise your 50px don't register as 50px. Stupid Windows 8...

Hit Ctrl0 can only slove height=50px error, but not " border-width to 1px"... :(

I've been using Firefox all this time; no problems until I hit this problem in CSS: An Overview (21/26). I spent hours trying to figure this one out! I played with the zoom, reset the code. Nothing worked! I finally came across this forum. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for suggesting switching out to Chrome. It worked!

My classmate said he had no problems with Safari. At least I have new options to troubleshoot. Mahalo!

Using 'height' and 'border' under the same selector brings up a warning icon that says:

"Using height with border can sometimes make elements larger than you expect."

I've found that making two separate table data selectors will work.

Well, separating them into two td selectors makes the warning icon disappear, but i still cannot pass through this lesson and keep receiving the "Oops, try again! Make sure you have defined all the variables required from you!" error after i hit the "Save & Submit Code" button.

Change your browser guys. It didn't work for me in Mozilla, so I tried it on Opera and it worked perfectly.
