Headers are not working.

It keeps saying to put in an h1 tag but I've done that and it's not working.
Isn't this right? :
(h1) title here (/h1)

Don't do parenthesis, do these <>. That should work

Thanks Kyle. I did use <>the and or some reason when I sent my message they didn't appear in the text. Regardless, I followed the instructions to the letter by typing and I still received the error message. Am I that lame and missing something?

Mine still doesn't work. I've put in these: <> but it keeps saying "oops, try again! Make sure you put in an h1 tag!"

I had this problem too, but it was because of the way it was set up. I was getting this error when I had:
<!DOCTYPE>

You need to have your opening and closing before you open like this:
<!DOCTYPE>

    </body>
</HEAD>

Hi Michal, to help you we need to see your code. Paste you code on the bigger window here, highlight it and click on the {} button. Once we see what you are doing someone will be able to assist you.

When you say it is not working, what do you mean, what error do you get? The code you have posted is correct but is it what they asking for? Sometimes we need to do exactly what the lesson asks us to do in order to validate the code. Many times the error message is not exactly what is wrong as sometimes the problem is before the pointed error. Always look at the error line and before it. Check tag spelling, spaces, closing of tags, colons instead of semicolons... if still in trouble paste the whole code so that someone can analyze it....many possibilities. Coding is a combination of a little science and a lot of art.

Try this:

<!DOCTYPE>
<htmak>
    <head>
        <title>
          <body>
          </body>
        </title>
               <h1>TITLE</h1>
    </head>
</htmak>
