If I’m not mistaken, they mentioned earlier that “any single element can be used as a selector,” including divs, “ul”s, “a”s, “li”s, “body”s, and so forth. So basically this code is pretty flexible; it can take just about anything you throw into the selector; CSS can allow you to be really picky about which specific element you want to change.
I’m still a beginner, but just spreading my ideas, hope this helped. :)

I got tricked on this one too… I suppose it’s to get us thinking, as they do mention links a lot in the explanation.
