But I did it right! The preview showed it!

Hi,
I am on lesson nine of the CSS sequence. I first was told that my red wasn't red and then that my Courier wasn't courier. I tried every suggestion in this forum: reloading the page (twice), resetting zoom, clicking on the lesson page, entering the code on the style sheet page and so on.
My code is the same as all others:

h3 {
color:red;
}
p {
font-family:Courier
}
span {
background-color:yellow
}
On the preview page, the headings are red, the span is yellow and I know Courier well enough to know the font was right. Should I just skip ahead?

Here's an exercise for the Academy, fixing the Codeacademy code!

I had the same issue where I seemed to do the code right, it showed up correctly on the preview, but it wouldn't accept my answer.

When I deleted the supplied comment from the stylesheet.css: /You can do this! Write your CSS below./, my code was instantly accepted.

Thanks for the hint. I'm on Firefox 26.0 (latest), and I'll try it on Chrome! I've had other problems through the whole course and Chrome didn't help.

I'm having the same problem with this and the previous lesson. The code is correct, it displays correctly, but it tells me it's wrong when I submit it

I was using Firefox, I tried in Chrome and it worked fine.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css"/>
<title>I Know Kung Fu (er, CSS)</title>
</head>
<body>
<div>
<h3>What's CSS for?</h3>
<p>CSS is for styling HTML pages!</p>
<h3>Why use it?</h3>
<p>It makes webpages look <span>really rad</span>.</p>
<h3>What do I think of it?</h3>
<p>It's awesome!</p>
</div>
</body>
</html>

That is the HTML.

`h3 {
color: red;
}
p {
font-family: Courier;
}
span {
background-color:yellow;
}'
And that is the CSS

Hope it helps!
