11/21 expected body to have its text-align style equal to center but got start

Why does this not work

    <!DOCTYPE html> 
<head> <style>
</style>
</head>
<body>
body {
text align: center;
background: black;
color: white;
}
<h1>Laurie</h1>
<p>Hi! I am learning how to make

That is a pretty weird error message, first time I've seen that one!

The problem is that your CSS body selector must be inside your style tag. You seem to have this selector located inside your body tag and again at the very bottom of your code.

Make sure you put the hyphen in text-align: center;
