So, i am trying to undestand the urlopen concept!?

From what i have read till now i undestand that urlopen establishes an open connection with a remote url or site on he internet and from there waits for additional actions or requests otherwise such as read()/GET , POST, PUT and DELETE. am i right?

From 6/20 (WePay API track):

we sent our GET request to placekitten.com using urlopen(), we retrieved information. When you add to or update your blog, you're sending POST or PUT requests; when you delete a tweet, there goes a DELETE request.

in short, urlopen() will perform a GET request on the url you specified.
