So I have to make a Twitter account? (1/5)

I get an Error 400 since I just clicked "Save and Submit" without doing anything.

Visit https://dev.twitter.com/apps and register a new application.

On the application settings page, click "Create my access token" to generate an access token and secret.

Copy the values for consumer key, consumer secret, access token, and access secret into the example.

So does this mean that I have to make a twitter account in order to do this?

Yes, you'll need to create a Twitter account. The type of API key required to use that Codecademy tutorial (rather than, say, secrets for OAuth handshaking, for instance) is only available to registered users.

I don't have access to Twitter because they said that I'm part of a school network. Worcester Public Schools blocked twitter because it is a social networking site.
