The "nice" formatting changes when adding my own pictures

Problem:

I successfully completed all the previous steps and my website looks fine, just like it should. Then, when I simply copy and paste new image URLs for ...The website does not keep the nice, square, similar formatting. I.e. They are not lined up properly as they were previously before adding my own pictures!

Code:

<div class="neighborhood-guides">
    <div class="container">
        <h2>Neighborhood Guides</h2>
        <p>Not sure where to stay? We've created neighborhood guides for cities all around the world</p>

        <div class="row">
            <div class="col-md-4">
                <div class="thumbnail">
                    <img src="http://www.orangedonkey.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/paint-the-kalahari2.jpg">
                </div>
                <div class="thumbnail">
                    <img src="http://amolife.com/image/images/stories/Nature/landscapes/Life_desert_photo_14.jpg">
                </div>
            </div>

            <div class="col-md-4">
                <div class="thumbnail">
                    <img src="http://amolife.com/image/images/stories/Nature/landscapes/Life_desert_photo_14.jpg">
                </div>
                <div class="thumbnail">
                    <img src="http://amolife.com/image/images/stories/Nature/landscapes/Life_desert_photo_14.jpg">
                </div>
            </div>

            <div class="col-md-4">
                <div class="thumbnail">
                    <img src="http://www.visionsofafrica.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Region_intro_Magkadikgadi-1024x685.jpg">
                </div>
            </div>

        </div>
    </div>
</div>

Does this problem have to do with the pictures themselves? I.e. They must be further formatted to fit the grid system?

Thank you!

I think this happens because the dimensions of your image. I just think this, I don't know if it's 100% correct.
