Complaint

Did they even test this course? The interpreter constantly crashes, and every working solution I have doesn't let me pass the exercise!

I had the same problem. I fixed it by re-sizing the window so that the white box on the right disappears. This will make it so the interpreter only runs when you click submit. I don't know if there is a option somewhere that disables so i can work in full screen but, if there isn't there should be.

Hi David,

I'm sure they did test this course. Not everyone has the same problems though. For example, I've never had the interpreter need to "respawn", but others have. So it's possible that the creators of this course just didn't test enough. I'd recommend you email support@codecademy.com next time you run into a problem with the course so they know about it :)

Its because it constantly needs to be connected to the server to test the php but yes I'd had issues too and its annoying :( most frustrating codecadmey class. If you are just looking to test the code itself i've found a handy php validtor. http://phpcodechecker.com/
