Semantics Question on Step 6: More about headings!

Why does it ask me to make a heading level 3 (<h3>) after I’ve just used a heading level 1 (<h1>)? This would be non-semantic. A heading level 2 should be the next logical, nested heading level.

Skipping heading levels is not good. Shouldn’t this course be teaching semantics along with the basics, since semantics is a large part of the basics of HTML? The very nature of the language (especially HTML5) is to be as semantic as possible.

Symantic - relating to meaning in language or logic.

Hey Sophia, I guess I can see you point but as I was progressing through the course they instructed me to do h2 as well. Someone like you with a knowledge of html5, I guess can judge the course but, at the time I have spent here at Code Academy, the staff are relatively more experienced than us and they want to speed up learning with ease. The course did ask you to do h2 and h4 and h6 between the others “skipped headings.” They know how its done too.
