Page will not load

I got the “you’re taking too long” warning and so I refreshed the page. Now it just tries to load with the little circle in the middle. I’ve closed it and came back, I’ve logged out and back in and it just keeps “loading”. Any suggestions?

More than welcome. You may notice that the loading issue moves from browser to browser. Best thing to do in that case is just switch between them.

What’s happening is strange.. for individual tasks the loading error seems to come up. Go to another browser and it works. After working though tasks on that browser for a while.. the same issue will appear once again. Switch back and it’s working again.

Maybe the admin can show us some code that detects above average activity in a particular lesson and notifies the people that can do something about it?

I don`t know is the “fix” helped anyone but not me, I have the same problem on Chrome, Firefox and Edge , only loading page on the task side,, I think it is part of the code I wrote but how I can delete it ? It always loads with the task…

Delete the cookies serving the page. On Chrome: (1) Right click on the page until you see a menu with “View page info” on it. Then click on “View page info.” (2) Click on “Show cookies and site data.” (3) Hit the Remove button. Delete the cookies with codeacademy in their names. (4) Logout. (5) Login again.

Thanks ,

What also helps is going to in private/ incognito on Your browser, do not sign it yet, finish the exact lesson where it crashes, and then log in.

Using Chromebooks at my school, I am forced to switch computers or clear the cookies, as we cannot use another browser. However, you can prevent such problems by duplicating the tab before you start typing (in some cases.)
