10/21 latest and greatest (<!DOCTYPE html>) it isnt working. Why ????
**I am a new user of codecademy. I loved the thought of being able to create my own website. But this bug is not letting me proceed and complete the course (even though I did exactly what they had instructed me to do ). Please help me someone. Thank you. **

Hi Yohaan, that code that you’ve shown works perfectly for me in exercise 10/21. Are you sure you don’t have anything above the DOCTYPE line – a comment maybe?

Hi Albions Refuge, yes there is a comment but that was there from the beginning. As soon as I had joined codecademy, I started this 30 min project at the end of the page saying “About you”. Do I remove the comment. Please reply if I have to. Thank you.

Yes, you will have to move it. By exercise 10/21 I would expect to find the comment located much further down. Back in 5/21, adding style tags should have pushed the comment to line 2 at the very least. Each of the next few lessons would have pushed it down a bit further.

Thank you I think it worked. Thank you for helping me out. Can I ask you something ? I wonder if you could suggest which language would be good to learn. Thank you again.

All of the languages are good to learn. Most of them are introductory so you can get a feel for whether or not they appeal to you. Some things feel better if you do them in a particular order though. HTML&CSS then Make a Website then Make a Website Projects. Then JavaScript, jQuery and Make an Interactive Website. There is a graphic that is supposed to show you what the various programming languages can lead you to, but it seems a bit confusing in spots :) https://codecademy-school.s3.amazonaws.com/Poster.pdf
