About this course
Database is one of the core foundational services of AWS. A database is an electronically stored, systematic collection of data including words, numbers, images, videos, and files. In computer systems, the word database can also refer to any database management system (DBMS), to the database system, or to an application associated with the database. In this course, you will begin by exploring the use of relational, NoSQL, and memory-based databases in AWS. Next you will compare database migration tools including AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS) and AWS Schema Conversion Tool (AWS SCT). You will also compare Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) hosted databases to AWS managed databases. Finally, you will explore the use of Amazon Aurora and Amazon Neptune. This course is one of a collection that prepares learners for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02) exam.

What Does an AWS Developer Do?
Amazon has come a long way from just selling books — and not just because it’s become a one-stop shop for everything from toilet paper to grocery deliveries. Thanks to businesses shifting operations and infrastructure to the cloud, systems and applications that used to run right down the hall in a server room are now hosted in a remote data center. One of these cloud providers is Amazon Web Services (AWS). As with all digital solutions, you need people to work with, manage, and improve them, which is where AWS developers come into play.
Read on to learn what an AWS Developer does, the skills you need to become one, the salary you can expect to earn, and how you can get closer to your AWS professional goals by learning to code.
