Continuing Your Open Source Journey

The concept of “open source” doesn’t only apply to code. It’s often used for other shared knowledge, such as Artificial Intelligence/Data Science data sets, hardware designs, and infrastructure or software standards.

The term digital public good is often used for those kinds of data.

Usually, in an open source project hosted on GitHub, you can label issues with the “good first issue” label to indicate it is an easy project for a beginner to take on.
