Ryan Mount is a Tech & Dev Curriculum Strategist and Designer at Codecademy, a Skillsoft company, where he designs strategic learning journeys covering technologies such as AI, Cloud, Security, DevOps, 5G, next-generation connectivity, and quantum computing. Ryan is passionate about creating accessible, inclusive, and multimodal learning experiences that clearly align with organizational goals. Before joining Skillsoft, Ryan was a Learning Experience Design Architect at IBM, where he led various learning initiatives across the company.

Ryan’s professional background also includes roles as a Cloud Architect at Sterling Commerce, focusing on technical solutions, and as Learning and Development Director at Comergent Technologies Inc., managing training programs. He holds dual master’s degrees from Cal Poly Humboldt, one in Education (Pedagogy and Curriculum), and another in English/Language Arts Teacher Education. This blend of technical experience and educational expertise positions Ryan as an experienced practitioner in learning experience design for emerging technologies.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys songwriting and often faces the pleasant dilemma of deciding whether to play his vintage Fender Telecaster or his Gretsch electric guitars.
