We know that Codecademy learners make some amazing projects that deserve a bigger audience. Submit your project for the chance to share what you’ve built with millions of your peers — and add another accomplishment to your resume.

How do I qualify to submit a project?

To submit a project, you have to be a Plus or Pro subscriber with an active subscription (not a trial).


How do you judge projects?

Our internal curriculum team will judge projects based on three core areas: creativity, interactivity, and usefulness.


Can I submit multiple projects?

Sure, you can submit as many projects as you want, but only one project will be featured per month.


What language can I use to build my project?

You can use any language or framework that you’re comfortable with.



Where should my project live?

You can host a project on Codecademy workspaces, GitHub repositories, or your personal website or other custom URL. The website must be secure with an HTTPS connection.


How will you share my project?

Projects will be shared with the Codecademy community via email, social media, community spaces, and the blog.


For how long will my project be featured?

If your project is chosen for the showcase, it will be featured for 30 days. After that, you can find it in the showcase archive.

Additional rules and criteria

  • Your Plus or Pro subscription must be in an active state and not in a trial.
  • No commercial or for-profit projects are allowed.
  • Projects must match the submitted description.
  • Projects must be the original work of the submitter.
  • Projects related to political stances, controversial subjects, or illegal subjects are not allowed.
  • Phishing scams or other cyberattacks are forbidden and will result in a permanent ban from submissions.
  • Projects can include software without an interface (APIs for example) as long as they have proper documentation.
